The State Capitol Computer Model was done
in 1996 on a 120 megahertz computer using Microstation and original construction documents. The model is the work of
James M. Koenig, AIA and was done during the State Capitol Masonry Restoration Project in Lincoln Nebraska. The
project was in excess of $22 million and involved documenting each stone from existing original shop drawings and recording
each type of stone distress in terms of size and exact location in order to obtain accurate bids from contractors. A
key factor in Jamie's responsibilities was to first convert each stone shop drawing into a cad file and second, to record
the distress types.
